There are approximately 900 people working in administration at the University of Salzburg. The so-called “general staff” ensures the efficient operation and organisation of the teaching and research activities for around 1,900 scientists and researchers and 18,000 students. The employees are operational in the central administration areas, as well as in individual departments.

Service Facilities

The core functions of the service facilities include the administration of the study programmes, the provision of IT services, the maintenance of the university buildings and all personnel and financial matters. The University Library provides access to some 2.4 million media (books, e-books, audiovisual, etc.). In addition, many other facilities such as Quality Management, Research Service, Flexible Learning, International Relations and Public Relations all make important contributions toward the success of the University.
