Tuition Fees – Study Abroad

Typically, students (regular students of the University of Salzburg) who spend a semester or year abroad as part of a transnational EU, state or university mobility programme will be exempt from paying the tuition fees abroad and at their home institution for this period of mobility.

If you were required to pay the tuition fees at the University of Salzburg and your stay abroad takes place during the semester or for part of the semester (at least 1 month), you can apply for a Tuition Waiver for Mobility Programmes at the International Relations Office by the end of the enrolment extension period of the current semester at the latest. Important to note: The ÖH fee must still be paid; otherwise you will risk being exmatriculated!

If you wish to organize a study abroad period yourself, the tuition fees at the host university usually have to be paid by the student in full.
