Applications/Nominations of mobilities to the University of Salzburg during the next academic year a will be accepted - with regard to cureent COVID-19 measures.

The University of Salzburg Executive Board is currently considering implementing a mixture of on-site and distance learning for the coming semester. We expect to resume normal teaching at the university by the beginning of October, providing that there are no further restrictive regulations imposed before the semester begins. Details about how the courses will be held can be found in the course catalogue of the relevant departments: https://online.uni-salzburg.at/plus_online/webnav.ini (update expected in August 2020).

Please take the recommendations issued by the University of Salzburg Board into account and keep yourself informed by checking the homepage/emails regularly.

The following measures were decided upon:

  • Some University Library locations are open. Please refer to details on the University Library website.
  • All offices with personal contact stay closed. 
  • The Department of International Relations can be contacted by email or phone. The regular opening hours still do not apply. We can only welcome you into the office in exceptional cases accordance with the necessary safety precautions and with an appointment (for details please refer to above mentioned FAQs)
Studying in Salzburg

The number of international students coming to study at the University of Salzburg has increased over the past several years. Approximately 30 percent of all students studying at the university are foreign nationals. They either attend regular courses within the framework of an exchange program, or they are full-time, degree seeking students.
